Compact remotely operated Teleflex chain openers designed to allow manual operation of difficult to reach window vents. Ideal for high level windows in classrooms or assisted living schemes and sheltered housing. They can be fitted to top or bottom hung windows in new-build or refurbishment installations. Several chain openers can be used for wider vents or linked together for group operation of several vents.

Linear actuators for Rooflights

Linear actuators are units whose drive mechanism is a rigid steel rod or geared rack. These robust drives are frequently used on automatic roof light applications because their inherent strength and rigidity allows them to motorise and hold open these types of automatic opening vents.

Motorised roof lights are ideal in natural ventilation strategies as they allow warm stale air out of occupied spaces more effectively than traditional windows.

Single chain actuators for windows

Electric chain actuators offer a cost effective and discrete solution to window motorisation. High strength steel double link chains are housed in robust aluminium casings fixed to the window frame. An integral electric drive un-coils the chain and pushes it out, opening the window to a fixed distance described as the stroke length of the actuator.

They are available in 24v or 230v and with various stroke lengths including typically; 250, 380, 400, 500, 600 and 800mm. Adjustable units can also be supplied to suit particular requirements.

Chain actuators can be easily connected together in groups for convenient control of an entire zone or to simplify field wiring.

Twin chain actuators for wider windows

Dual or twin chain drive actuators are available for operating very wide motorised vents and roof lights without the need for additional controls or mechanical mechanisms.

They ensure that the automatic vent is closed tightly against its seal ensuring effective weather protection and security.

Available with stroke lengths up to 380mm they are ideal for automatic natural ventilation applications in schools, community & health centres and offices.
